The renovations are part of a $560 million project that began in 2020 and has been completed during NFL offseasons.

The Superdome is preparing not only for the Saints’ 2024 season but for Super Bowl LIX, which is scheduled to arrive in Louisiana in February 2025.

The four-year renovation project introduced wider concourses to the stadium and allowed more natural light on the field, Rob Masson reported for Fox 8 Live.

The stadium also installed new elevators, escalators, kitchens and food service areas, while widening concourses and improving field visibility from seats with previously obstructed views, per Chris Price of Biz New Orleans and Winston Reed of WWL Louisiana.

The team also installed a new locker room inside the building, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Saints have played at the Superdome since 1975 and currently hold a lease with the building through at least 2030.

The team will open the 2024 season against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at the Superdome.
