Changpeng Zhao, former CEO of Binance, has warned the crypto community about deepfake videos falsely promoting cryptocurrencies. He noted that these videos, which feature an AI-generated version of him, are spreading on social media, but not on X. Zhao noted that the importance of being cautious, as scammers increasingly use AI for deceptive purposes. He humorously mentioned that the deepfakes promote coins he knows nothing about. Similarly, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson cautioned that in the future, it may become nearly impossible to distinguish deepfakes from real videos of influencers.
