In the post-debate TV presentations, a panel of Tucson citizens was queried. One Woman stated she came to see two sane men tell us their version of the country’s future. Is this a spectator sport like professional wrestling, where you already know the show, or has she lived in a cave?
OK, she is not a political junkie and does not keep up with politics so much. Is this what Scripps local news does to people who don’t follow national news much? Why would she need to watch a debate unless she lived out of the country, isolated, or in a cave somewhere?
The fact is that Trump was president for four years. Biden is a lifetime politician who was elected when he was only 29 years old. He was Vice President under Obama for eight years and president for the last 3.5 years. Is she new to the country?
How could you not know what their vision for the country was? I don’t know why we even bothered having a debate. Even at this early stage, something is wrong if you are an undecided voter in this election.
I fully understand:
- Ayn Rand Raw Capitalist Fascists
- Religious Fundamentalists
- Peel my gun from my cold, dead hand
- Kick the illegals out
That has proven to be a formidable coalition and tough to beat. Still, perhaps the people we need to worry about and message are the ones with empty attics. While not for president, an American district has elected a dead person before. The voters said they preferred the dead person over the living one. Perhaps that is where we will be, although Nevada has a “None of the above” as an election option.
I’ll take Uncle Joe ‘Dead or Alive’ over Trump.
In the debate, Trump stated he told NATO,” I was not going to support them if they did not pay, and the next day, billions started pouring in.” “You have to ask these people to pay.” I believe this to be laughable, as I don’t think NATO allies pay one another or the United Nations anything. I believe the requirement is for each country to spend at least 3% of its GDP on defense.
The problem is those people with empty attics will probably never know that. The NATO comments were only one lie, but the reality is everything Trump said in the debate was a lie. I know, I’m using an absolute, but I might not need an ‘Almost’ disclosure here. That is rather disturbing.
