Toward the end of 2022, he became the owner of the company, which was founded by his father back in 1993. After joining the company to work and recruit colleagues in 2016, he has since overseen schedules and the number of closings at Premier Settlements while also handling bookkeeping, accounting, controlling and chief financial officer duties.
Furthermore, Mr. Lafferty’s role extends to conducting interviews for new personnel, ensuring the company maintains its high standards. Most recently, in August 2024, he helped the company launch a real estate brokerage, Premier Select Realty, to provide a supportive environment for agents who may feel disadvantaged by their current brokerages or team leaders. Prior to his current position, Mr. Lafferty served as branch manager of Fulton Financial Corporation in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, from 2007 to 2016. During his tenure there, he participated in a management program that led him to lead a team in the high-profile compliance department. His exemplary performance earned him a promotion to upper management, and, at the age of 25, he became the branch manager of the bank’s third-largest branch.
Mr. Lafferty holds a bachelor’s degree in business and finance from Gordon College in Massachusetts, where he graduated in 2009. His time at Gordon College was pivotal; there, he played competitive soccer and developed essential teamwork and leadership skills, eventually becoming the team captain in his senior year. Together, these experiences have significantly contributed to his professional success.
Outside of his professional sphere, Mr. Lafferty is actively involved in his community. He seeks opportunities to invest in initiatives like silver lining houses as a way of giving back. Moreover, he leverages his leadership and sports experience by serving as a coach for kids’ soccer, sharing his passion for the sport and fostering teamwork among young athletes. In all he has pursued and achieved, Mr. Lafferty attributes much of his success to the strong leadership and values instilled in him by his father and developed through his own teamwork mentality.
All in all, Mr. Lafferty’s foundation has enabled him to build a cohesive team at Premier Settlements, where he is most proud of keeping his core team members together for over a decade and tripling the business during his tenure.
