The New York Times Mini Crossword pulled out one of my favorite groaner jokes today. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a variation of this clue printed on a T-shirt. It’s something like, “Use commas, or else ‘I like cooking, family and friends’ turns into ‘I like cooking family and friends.'” OK, OK, it’s kind of dumb, but to an English major, it’s a little bit funny.
