The Lucid Air has always been a sedan. At least, at Lucid. But now a Lucid Air has been transformed into a coupe, commissioned by Shaquille O’Neal. Anyone familiar with Shaq can guess why the Air was converted.
The electric Lucid Air is also available with various drivetrains, but it is always a four-door sedan. The American West Coast Customs, in these parts, is mainly known for the MTV program Pimp My Ride, which has converted a Lucid Air into a coupe on behalf of a customer. The customer in question is none other than former basketball player Shaquille O’Neal.
The Lucid Air Coupé has only two doors. They are also considerably longer than those of the well-known four-door Air. According to West Coast Customs, that is not without reason. The doors are long enough so that Shaquille O’Neal can get in and out of the car properly. O’Neal is not just tall; he is truly enormous. The now 52-year-old former professional basketball player, who is considered one of the best, is namely 2.16 meters tall and is practically as wide as a modest wardrobe. Striking detail: between the headlights is not ‘Lucid’ written, but ‘Diesel’.
