Cat Owner Captures What Pet Does to Her ‘3 Seconds’ After She’s Woken Up

A cat owner from the Netherlands revealed what her senior cat does in the morning immediately after waking up, melting hearts among internet users.

In a video shared on TikTok on Thursday under the username @kletsmouse, the 15-year-old cat, Mouse, also known on social media as the “yapping queen,” can be seen jumping on her mom’s bed, meowing at her non-stop.

“When you’ve opened your eyes three seconds ago and miss girlie is already telling you about her plans for today,” reads the layover text in the clip.

All healthy cats meow, according to a Catster article medically reviewed by Dr. Lorna Whittemore, although the sounds they make as well as the frequency of their meows can vary.

Interestingly enough, cats don’t use meowing as a form of communication with each other, unless they’re talking to their kitten. Instead, they reserve these sounds mostly for humans.

Our felines can meow for several reasons, including that they’re hungry, stressed, or on account of their hormones. In older cats, meowing can be a sign of feline dementia. However, some cats are just very chatty.

Cats also meow when they are in pain, so if you notice a change in vocalizations alongside any other signs of injury or trauma, you should get them checked by their veterinarian.

Some cats meow less than others. However, if your cat usually talks a lot and then suddenly starts losing its voice or making weak, raspy sounds, they may be suffering from laryngitis.

This inflammation usually comes with other symptoms including trouble swallowing, difficulty breathing, keeping their mouth open, nasal discharge, cough, bad breath, and lethargic behavior.

Your cat’s breed can also influence their meowing habits. The most vocal breeds include Siamese, Oriental, Balinese, Bengal, American bobtail, Siberian, Turkish Van, Ocicat, Peterbald, and Turkish Angora.

The video quickly went viral on social media and has so far received over 2.9 million views and 746,600 likes on the platform.

Nat Geo Animals commented: “It’s very impawtent that you know her schedule!”

Vascoeur said: “you listen very carefully. so here’s my schedule for today—”

Sal added: “She’s your personal assistant but you have to do her job.”
