The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have launched a manhunt for a young branch manager accused of vanishing with a staggering US$35,000 from a Wholesale in the resort town of Victoria Falls.
Suspect Named as Mthulisi Moyo
The police identified the suspect as 23-year-old Mthulisi Cecil Ronald Moyo. He was employed as a branch manager at a prominent wholesaler in Victoria Falls.
According to the ZRP, Moyo was entrusted with a significant sum of cash on 22 October 2024. In a statement, the police provided details about the alleged fraud.
“The suspect reported for duty at the shop and allegedly received US$35,390.00 from a cash-in-transit crew,” the ZRP stated. “He was supposed to deposit the money into the wholesaler’s bank account but instead fled to an unknown destination.”
The funds were part of routine business operations meant for safekeeping in the company’s bank account.

In their statement, the ZRP said:
