The Super Bowl always attracts the biggest stars in the world, and this week’s game in New Orleans is no different. There is one exception to that rule this year, with one of the biggest names showing up to the game, as President Donald Trump will be at Super Bowl 59. He will become the first sitting United States President to attend the Super Bowl.
Multiple players from the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles were asked about Trump attending the Super Bowl. Some players responded that it would be an honor to play in front of the US President, while others were more neutral.
Jalen Hurts Gets to Point With Donald Trump Being at Super Bowl
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is no stranger to the Super Bowl stage. This is Philadelphia’s second appearance in the big game, and it’s a repeat opponent when the Eagles fell to the Chiefs in Super Bowl 57.
During this year’s Super Bowl media availability, Hurts was asked about his thoughts on President Trump being at the Super Bowl to watch the Eagles and Chiefs play. His response was short and to the point.
“He’s welcome to do whatever he wants,” Hurts said.

Hurts also said that there would be no added pressure to having the President of the United States at the game.

Chiefs Players Address Trump’s Presence as Well
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was also asked what his thoughts were about Trump being at Super Bowl 59, to which he acknowledged that it is a big moment for the President to attend the Super Bowl for the first time.
“That’s awesome, it’s a great honor no matter who the president is,” Kelce said. “I’m excited because this is the biggest game of my life.”

Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes was also asked the same question about President Trump being at the game, and he felt the moment would be a really big deal.
“It’s always cool to be able to play in front of a sitting president,” Mahomes said. “Someone that is at the top position in our country.”

Mahomes went to his first Super Bowl during the 2019 season and hoisted the Lombardi Trophy during the previous Trump administration. However, this is the first Super Bowl that Trump will attend as a sitting politician.
The Chiefs are also looking to make history by being the first NFL team ever to win three consecutive Super Bowls.
