There are rumors Adele has been asked to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show before, but declined. Easily one of the greatest vocalists of this century, and likely all time, an Adele halftime performance would be a great one.



When Beyonce headlined the halftime show in 2013, there were rumors Jay Z would appear alongside her for a song. Instead, the rapper did not infringe on his wife’s moment. Over a decade later, we’re long past due for Jay Z getting his own opportunity on the big stage. In light of the success of Eminem’s halftime show featuring a number of other rap legends, Jay Z would certainly be a huge hit.



A true showman, Harry Styles would be an excellent choice to do a halftime show. With plenty of mainstream hits to choose from, the NFL could also surprise fans with a One Direction reunion, making it one of the most complete shows ever.



It’s certainly a missed opportunity that we never got to see the Backstreet Boys do a Super Bowl halftime show in their heyday. As the only one of the main 90s boy bands that’s still together, Millennial NFL fans would be here for a Backstreet Boys performance, even if they’re not quite as spry as they once were.

From Hannah Montana to one of the most wide ranging vocalists of the modern era, Miley Cyrus has a deep trough of songs to choose from. She could give us her hits from the young Miley days or her more adult and deeper meaning songs in her older years. We know Miley knows how to put on a show.



Think of a world where Justin Bieber never performs the Super Bowl halftime show. It’s hard to do. Bieber has his detractors, but there’s no denying his talent as a performer. He would put on a fantastic show.

It’s fair to say no on saw Jimmy Brooks from Degrassi becoming one of the biggest rap stars on the planet. Drake is incredibly talented and has a wide range of songs from niche rap hits to mainstream pop bops. It’s hard to see how a Drake headlined halftime show wouldn’t be a success.



It’s hard to imagine Ariana Grande doing the halftime show and not putting on a spectacular performance. One of the biggest pop stars of this generation, Grande would undoubtedly be a massive get for the NFL.

Given how long Mariah Carey has been a huge name in the music industry, it’s pretty wild that she never did the Super Bowl halftime show. She has sung the national anthem, though. Perhaps a full halftime show is still in her future.



Could there be anyone else? The biggest pop star in the world has now attended two consecutive Super Bowls…as a fan watching her boyfriend Travis Kelce. But Taylor Swift has never performed during the Super Bowl. Will she? Given all of Taylor’s accomplishments, one would think a Super Bowl halftime show is something she’d like to do eventually. When? Who knows? But it seems likely to happen at some point.
