Popular crypto venture capital firm, Pantera Capital, is about to launch a $1 billion investment fund, which is mainly targeting early-stage crypto projects. Cosmo Jiang, the portfolio manager stated that $200 million will be allocated for AI-related initiatives, as the first close of funds is expected in early 2025. Although the allocation of AI is yet to be finalized, Jiang mentions it as a reasonable estimate. Previously, Pantera has invested around 15-20% of its capital in AI projects, highlighting the increasing focus on this particular space. Moreover, Pantera is known for supporting major platforms like Coinbase, Arbitrum, Circle, and Cosmos, Pantera, and hence, it continues being a top investor in the crypto sector.
