Jake Paul is set to face off against Mike Perry on July 20, and the bout is expected to be an energetic affair. The chaos for the upcoming boxing match has already arrived, as the fighters engaged in their weigh-in and face-off on Friday. After sizing one another up, some shoving occurred, resulting in a massive brawl.

Initially, Paul pretends to protect himself at a distance from Perry, but the pair soon approach one another face-to-face. After multiple words are exchanged, Perry offers a little shove to Paul, who responds in kind with a bigger shove. The result is a brawl between security officials and both teams.
Though Paul was the bigger aggressor with a bigger push, he immediately stepped back, and the brawl included security officials for both teams. Perry appears to be lost in the chaos as the big-bodied security guards attempt to calm things down.
Paul was initially supposed to fight Mike Tyson on July 20, but a “medical scare” on a recent flight led to Tyson having to take some time off from training. Paul vs. Tyson was then postponed to Nov. 15.
Paul could have easily taken some extra time to train, but the boxer instead decided to book a last-minute opponent in Perry. Paul has the benefit of his months-long training while getting ready for Tyson, and a bigger boxing resume.
That is not to say that Perry is any kind of slouch. He is one of the most dangerous strikers in MMA. After an up-and-down career with the UFC, Perry joined the BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship). Perry instantly became a star in the promotion and has gone undefeated in his five fights there.
Perry’s notable wins have come against current and former UFC fighters like Luke Rockhold, Thiago Alves, and Eddie Alvarez.
Paul understands the risk that comes with taking on a renowned striker like Perry. He stated to DAZN Boxing in a video that “you could lose the biggest payday of your life against Mike Tyson if you lose to Mike Perry who is a violent killer, a bare-knuckle, undefeated legend over there.”
Despite the risks that both are facing, Paul and Perry will face off on Saturday. Based on the pair already attempting to fight one another at the weigh-in, the match itself could prove to be one of the most exciting fights in 2024.
Paul is on a three-fight win streak in boxing, but could suffer his second career loss to Perry come Saturday.
