Veteran safety Quandre Diggs has agreed a one-year deal worth up to $5 million with the Tennessee Titans, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Diggs later confirmed the deal, announcing the “long awaited news” on his social media.

The 11-year veteran spent the last five years with the Seattle Seahawks, exiting in free agency this offseason.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Diggs’ deal will have a $3 million base with $1 million more in reachable incentives based on playing time and $1 million more in performance-based incentives.

Diggs, a three-time Pro Bowler, had a career-high 95 tackles last year, also notching five passes deflected and an interception. Despite another solid season, the Seahawks released Diggs, along with fellow safety Jamal Adams, in March. The move saved Seattle $27.5 million in cash.

Diggs now joins Adams in Tennessee, as the three-time Pro Bowler agreed to a deal with the Titans in July. Together, the two will look to bolster Tennessee’s secondary after the Titans gave up 335.1 yards and 21.6 points per game a season ago.

After winning the AFC South in 2021, the Titans have struggled over the last two seasons, going 7-10 and 6-11, respectively. With the addition of Diggs and Adams to the secondary, they’ll look to right the ship and get back into playoff contention.
